Chayse returned to Houston one more time on her road to the National Championships where she competed against the best in the Great State of Texas where she came home the State's high flying vaulting champion and the bronze medalist in the All Around! There are only four weeks to train before she makes the long drive to Kansas to compete against the best in the seven state Region III Championships and then on to the JO Nationals!

Chayse went south with 'Remember the Alamo' in her mind, ready to face the stiff competition from the familiar Stars Houston team. But after the competition was done, Chayse for the last time in San Antonio, climbed the podium to claim her third consecutive Alamo Classic title and a trip to the Saturday night Fiesta Jam where she will be providing exhibition performances of her bars and beam routines. Chayse will have a weekend off before taking on her next challenge, the annual WOGA Classic held at the Frisco Convention Center February 16, 2013.

Chayse was on the edge of her seat all Saturday night watching an exciting five team battle at the NCAA Metroplex Challenge that had her future University of Oklahoma teammates pitted against rival LSU, Georgia, Washington and Oregon State. With a five squad rotation, it was tough to see who was on top after each event, but in the end the Sooner's came away with the victory and moved to #2 in the Nation! Inspired by her future teammates as well as the OU men's team on Friday and wanting to follow their lead, Chayse stepped onto the same raised platforms and proceeded to accumulate monster scores and continue the winning streak with another All Around title! Check out the video on Gymnastike! With only 4 days between meets, Chayse travels south to San Antonio to attempt a 3-peat of the Alamo Classic and another visit to ever entertaining Fiesta Jam on Saturday night.

The first meet of the new year and Chayse went south to the Tiger Classic in Austin with a goal of petting some baby tigers, a privelege reserved for the select few that would be crowned champions. Starting strong on vault, Chayse began her mission with a single minded focus and did not stop until not one, but two baby tigers sat in her lap! With a 38.100 AA and four individual golds, Chayse has begun her trek to return to the JO Championships as a senior before heading off to OU! Next on the agenda, the Metroplex Challenge, where Chayse will compete on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 5:00p following her future teammates who compete Saturday night in the NCAA meet.

In her 9th and final appearance at the annual Infinite Bounds Candy Cane Classic, Chayse began the 2013 season with a solid showing winning an individual gold on the vault, two individual silvers on the beam and floor and her first All Around title for the season. A strong start for her senior year, Chayse looks forward to each and every competition leading up to her senior appearance at the JO Nationals in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Just a little over one year since she announced her commitment to the University of Oklahoma, Chayse proudly signed her official letter on College Signing Day, joining an amazing five member 2013 recruiting class. Chayse is extremely excited that in just eight short months she will be reporting to Norman, Oklahoma to begin her competitive career as an OU Sooner!

Just south of the nation's capital in Hampton, Virginia, Chayse traveled half way across the country to face the countries top 58 athletes in the last level 10 meet of the season, the JO Nationals. Arriving late Wednesday, training on Thursday and Friday, Chayse was ready to get her chance to hit the equipment in the last session on Saturday where she started on the floor. Hitting each of her passes, Chayse started the day with a 9.600 that held the first spot for the first rotation, but would eventually slip to 9th by the end of the session. On to the vault where Chayse introduced her new Yerchenko full and half that scored a monster 9.800! Only one other athlete would be able to top that score leaving Chayse with a silver medal. Even with a mishap on the bars and a step on her dismount from the beam, Chayse finished the competition in the top 10 for the day! She and the rest of her regional team secured a team third for their age group and and a first place for the super team! Way to go Chayse and Region 3!

North of the Red River to face a seven state region of competitors, Chayse started the early morning meet as the first to touch the bars coming away with a solid 9.575. Her beam coach still in the hospital with an emergency appendectomy and Chayse still performs a 9.500 to take third. A 9.3 on floor and a big 9.675 vault for second and Chayse chalked up a 38.050 and a third All Around! Chayse has her eyes set on the ultimate prize in a mere four weeks where she will be competing against the best of the best at the JO Nationals in Hampton, Virginia!

Just back three weeks from the HNI in Houston and Chayse returns to the Woodlands just north of town to capture the State title on the floor (9.7) a second on vault (9.7) and a 3rd on bars (9.65) for a great showing and a 38.200 All Around score! With only another three weeks to train, Chayse will be heading north to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for Regionals and a qualifying run at another trip to the JO Nationals in May!

South and back in a whirlwind tour for the Houston National Invitational and Chayse comes home with the honors of another All Around title! Starting on bars in a large field of competitors, Chayse racked up another individual silver (vault 9.500) and two individual golds (bars 9.425 / beam 9.600) to complement her All Around gold (37.525)! Next stop... the Texas State Championships in the Woodlands, Texas.

With each new competition, Chayse polishes her skills on her road to the JO Nationals and the Metroplex Challenge was no different. Performing on the raised platforms in the Fort Worth Convention center arena, Chayse executed each routine with the confidence of a seasoned athlete accumulating two individual golds (bars and beam), an individual silver (vault) and the all-around championship with her 38.050! Chayse will have a couple of weeks before travelling south again to Houston for the HNI and her last meet before the State Championships.

The return of the Kurt Thomas Invitational after a year hiatus proved to be quite advantageous for Chayse who competed Saturday night against a wide field of competitors. With only a misstep on the landing of an otherwise beautiful bar routine, Chayse began the night ready to raise the level of competition for everyone else. She finished the night with one gold, two silvers and a bronze which secured her a silver in the all around and an opportunity to participate the next afternoon in the finals competition.

Only the top 5 in each age group for levels 8 through 10 moved on to the finals to compete against each other regardless of age groups or levels. 60 of the best athletes from the previous day's competition went head to head on each of the four events where Chayse once again came to dominate the day with three of the top individual scores, including a 10.0 on the beam and the gold in the all around!

Congratulations Chayse! ... and good luck next weekend at the Metroplex Challenge.

Chayse made the journey south on IH35 to the great city of San Antonio to compete in the annual Alamo Classic to defend her title from the preceding season and she did not dissappoint! Chayse showed her characteristic high level of energy on all four events and with the exception of too much adrenaline on her final floor pass executed outstanding routines on all four events capturing 3 individual gold and the All Around title for a second straight year!

Chayse once again qualified to compete in two events the following night at the Fiesta Jam Finals that show cased the best of all the athletes over the two day competition where Chayse once again demonstrated her artistry and flair on both the bars and the beam!

But there is no resting on yesterdays accomplishments, another meet is just around the corner at the Kurt Thomas Invitational in just two weeks!

Infinite Bounds Gymnastics has finally moved into their impressive new building and all the athletes are back into full swing in their spacious new training facility!

Chayse began her 2012 season with three out of four individual golds and the all around gold at the annual Candy Cane Classic hosted by her home gym Infinite Bounds. She had three strong routines including her high scoring vault (9.725) and high flying bars (9.500). Although still polishing her newly choreagraphed floor and beam routines, Chayse showed strength and poise and has a promising season ahead of her starting in January.

Chayse is extremely proud to announce her commitment to
The University of Oklahoma NCAA competitive gymnastics program beginning in 2013. Chayse is excitedly looking forward to the challenges and opportunities while working with coaches KJ Kindler, Lou Ball and Tom Haley as a contributing member of the OU team, family and tradition and their continuing quest for NCAA excellence.
